Transferring a public holiday

Anyone can ask their employer to transfer a public holiday to another day.

How transferring a public holiday works

To transfer a public holiday to another day, both the employee and employer need to agree, and meet the legal requirements.

The public holiday becomes a normal working day and the day you transfer to is treated as the public holiday.
